As a part-time specialty coffee barista, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a delightful coffee experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and Serving Specialty Coffee Drinks:

   • Dialling espresso shots, steaming milk for lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites and crafting other coffee beverages with precision and consistency.
   • Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.

2. Customer Service:

   • Greet customers warmly as they enter the roastery/coffee shop.
   • Educate customers about our coffees, drinks menu and make recommendations based on their preferences.

3. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace:

   • Keep the coffee bar area tidy and well-organized.
   • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.

4. Weekend Availability:

   • VERY IMPORTANT: Be available to work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). 

5. Additional Skills:

   • Creating visually appealing latte art to enhance the customer experience.
   • Familiarity with brewing equipment and coffee preparation techniques.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing methods.
• Understanding of the Coffee Value Chain and the language of the specialty coffee industry.
